Welcome to the website of St Barnabas, Southfields
St Barnabas is an Anglican church serving the local community in Southfields, in South West London.
It aims to be inclusive and welcoming, and to reach out
to the spiritual needs of all its visitors and regular members.
It is a place to sing, to pray, to listen, to be silent, to talk,
and to bring your children to. A place to be at peace.

| |
Father Bertrand has been vicar of St Barnabas since March 2000. Before
that, he was assistant curate in the parish of St John's, Walworth, in
inner-city London. |
Prior to ordination in 1996, Bertrand was managing director of a healthcare
PR agency in London. He is a French national and has lived in London for
over 16 years.
He says ... |
|
"Southfields is a friendly and varied neighbourhood and at St Barnabas we
aim to reflect this by welcoming people of all ages, ethnic background,
experience and family situations, as well as always striving to find better
ways to serve the local community". |
|
He adds ... |
|
"Of course, I also love the fact that St Barnabas is probably one
of the few parishes in the UK where I am able to buy better croissants
than in Paris thanks to our local French deli".
